💆 About Massage
We offer Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, prenatal massage, hot stone massage, therapeutic massage, table Thai massage, and the Raindrop Technique (essential oil massage). Each therapist brings their own specialties.
It depends on your goals. Swedish massage is best for general relaxation and stress relief. Deep tissue targets chronic pain and muscle knots. Sports massage helps with athletic recovery. If you're unsure, let your therapist know your concerns and they'll customize the session for you.
For general wellness, once a month is a great starting point. If you're managing chronic pain, every 1–2 weeks may be more beneficial initially. Athletes often benefit from weekly sessions during training. Your therapist can recommend a schedule based on your specific needs.
Yes. Research shows massage therapy can reduce cortisol levels and increase serotonin and dopamine, which help regulate mood. Many clients notice improved sleep, reduced tension, and a greater sense of calm after regular sessions.

The Raindrop Technique is a unique massage modality that combines nine Young Living essential oils with massage and energy work along the spine. It was developed to support the body's natural defenses and promote a sense of balance. FM Massage is one of the few places in Fargo offering this service.
Deep tissue massage uses firm pressure but should never be unbearable. You may feel discomfort in areas of tension, but it should feel like "good pain" — productive, not sharp. Always communicate with your therapist about pressure. They can adjust at any time.
Massage therapy may help reduce the frequency and intensity of tension headaches and migraines by relieving muscle tension in the neck, shoulders, and head. Essential oils like Peppermint and M-Grain (Young Living) are also popular complementary options.
Regular massage can improve flexibility, reduce recovery time, prevent injuries, and address muscle imbalances. Sports massage is specifically designed for athletes. Many of our clients in Fargo incorporate massage as part of their training and recovery plan.
🩺 Health Conditions
Massage therapy is one of the most effective non-pharmaceutical approaches for back pain relief. Deep tissue and therapeutic massage can address muscle tension, improve circulation, and reduce inflammation. Many clients experience significant improvement within a few sessions.
Massage may help relieve sciatic nerve pain by reducing muscle tension in the lower back, glutes, and piriformis muscle. Deep tissue and therapeutic techniques are commonly used. While massage doesn't treat the underlying nerve issue, it can significantly reduce pain and improve mobility.
Yes, prenatal massage is generally safe after the first trimester. Our therapists use special positioning and techniques designed for pregnancy comfort. Always consult your healthcare provider if you have a high-risk pregnancy or specific concerns.
Mild soreness for 24–48 hours is normal after deep tissue or therapeutic work. It's similar to post-exercise soreness. Staying hydrated, gentle stretching, and warm baths can help. If soreness persists beyond 48 hours, let your therapist know for your next session.
Many fibromyalgia clients find relief through regular massage therapy. Gentle to moderate pressure techniques may help reduce pain, improve sleep quality, and decrease anxiety. It's important to communicate your sensitivity levels with your therapist so they can adjust accordingly.

Most clients undress to their comfort level — some prefer to be fully undressed under the draping sheet, while others leave undergarments on. For table Thai massage, comfortable athletic clothing is recommended. Your therapist will step out while you change.
Drink plenty of water to help flush metabolic waste released during the massage. Avoid intense exercise for 24 hours. Take a warm bath if you're feeling sore. Rest if you can — your body is healing. Gentle stretching can also help maintain the benefits.
